Descripción
The Palacio de Mariana Pineda is a hotel-museum built during the 17th century, which was later inhabited by the aforementioned heroine. Its location, at the entrance of the picturesque Albaycín quarter, declared World Heritage Site, allows an easy access to the most important monuments of Granada, like the Alhambra or the cathedral, that lie at only 10 and 5 minutes on foot, respectively.
The Palacio de Mariana Pineda keeps a glorious central patio in which stands out an impressive original pillar from 1644, and which is communicated with an impressive cellar in exposed brickwork that still keeps an ancient well.
The 5 differently appointed rooms have wonderful views of the Alhambra (except one of them) and are equipped with satellite TV, internet, minibar, pillow menu, free tea and coffee service from 4 pm to 7.30 pm, among others. The bathrooms are equipped with hairdryer and hot tub or jacuzzi, and are lined with traditional ceramic Fajalauza tiles.
Cómo llegar
Given that the hotel is located in a restricted access area -as it's in the historic centre-, with a difficult layout, it's highly recommended to get there by taxi.
